The Psychiatric Nurses' Cultural Perspective on the Use of Coercive Measurers: A Focused Ethnography

Description

  • A qualitative study looking at the culture of psychiatric nursing to try to determine what is of most importance to nurses when it comes to patient care and the use of coercive measures such as seclusion and physical restraint.
  • Participants will be asked to complete a short demographic survey and engage in a recorded video interview that will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

Who

  • Registered nurses who are currently practicing in an acute adult inpatient psychiatric setting that engages in both seclusion and physical restraint. 

Pay

  • Participants will receive $35 in the form of a Visa gift card for completing the interview.
