Proclamation for Mental Health Awareness Month - May 2022
The Global Alliance for Behavioral Health and Social Justice is accepting abstract submissions for research, policy, and practice that illustrates innovative and effective efforts in behavioral health. They especially invite submissions related to their areas of focus, equity, children and families, and behavioral health across the lifespan. The deadline for abstract submission is May 15. Submit today!
The psychiatric mental health nursing specialty and community is saddened by the death of Dr. Shirley Smoyak. Mentored by Hildegard Peplau and an early graduate of Dr Peplau's benchmark psychiatric nursing program at Rutgers University, Shirley was a visionary for psychiatric nurses and nursing exemplified through her teaching, scholarship, and advocacy.
