Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence & Belonging (Associate/Full Professor of Nursing) — The University of Nevada, Reno (Orvis School of Nursing) is recruiting a senior faculty member (Associate or Full Professor) to serve as Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence and Belonging. This position will lead efforts to cultivate a welcoming, supportive, and equitable climate for students, faculty, and staff. The role involves recruiting, mentoring, and retaining a diverse faculty, particularly from historically underrepresented groups, and supporting their professional success.

The Associate Dean will collaborate with school and university leadership and community partners to foster a culture of respect, fairness, and full engagement. They will also advance scholarship in nursing outcomes or health equity, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding. Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in nursing (PhD, DNP, or equivalent), eligibility for RN licensure in Nevada, and credentials sufficient for tenure upon appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

Open Rank Faculty, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (non-tenured)

This position will be focused on teaching psychiatric mental health nursing in the pre-licensure programs within the College of Nursing. This position will be responsible for teaching both didactic and clinical courses. Applicant's rank (Clinical Assistant Professor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor/Teaching Professor) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. Salary is based on 9-month academic appointments paid over twelve months, plus the opportunity for additional summer assignments. All candidates hired will be responsible for the following teaching-related duties and responsibilities: Teaching: Non-Tenure Track faculty participate in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Undergraduate and graduate teaching consists of traditional classroom lectures, seminars, distance learning, and small groups for clinical instruction.
