Director, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing seeks a Director for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program. Join a dynamic, collaborative academic environment in Columbia, South Carolina, with competitive compensation and strong professional support. Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in nursing and national certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (preferred) or a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (across the lifespan). Applicants must have at least two years of clinical experience as a PMHNP or Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, as well as a minimum of two years teaching and mentoring NP students. Candidates must be eligible for active, unencumbered nursing licensure with prescriptive authority in South Carolina and hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Assistant /Associate/Full Professor (Non-Tenured): Population Health Nursing Science

Duties & Responsibilities Teaching: Non-Tenure Track professorial faculty participate in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Undergraduate and graduate teaching consists of traditional classroom lectures, seminars, distance learning and small groups for clinical instruction. Scholarship/Research: Nursing scholarship and research span broad content areas, diverse research designs and methodological strategies, including those associated with the biological and social sciences as well as the humanities. Practice/Service: Non-Tenure Track faculty may contribute to the service mission of the university commensurate with their percent of time allocated to the College. Service activities are conducted in a culturally safe and appropriate manner that demonstrate value for the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. Participation may include service at local, regional, national, and international level. Qualifications Minimum education is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, or PhD in nursing or related sciences, at the time of appointment.
